Na mijn studietijd aan de HEAO-Bedrijfseconomie, ben ik begin jaren ’90 professioneel actief geworden in de beleggingswereld. Begonnen in een samenwerkingsverband met Meespierson als futureshandelaar, ben ik daarna als marketmaker op de optiebeurs gaan werken, voor AOT, Delta en de voorloper van All options. Daarbij heb ik nieuwe optiehandelaren opgeleid. Toen voor eigen rekening en risico gaan werken als ‘local trader’ (market maker in opties) en heb vervolgens een eigen derivatenbedrijf gehad op Euronext. Ik ben ook regelmatig als beursanalist op TV bij RTLZ geweest. In 2004 heb ik mijn bedrijf verkocht aan een tradingsbedrijf in obligatiefutures, maar ben ik aangebleven als directeur en handelaar. Vervolgens ben ik tot 2011 CFO geweest bij Today’s Beheer & Brokers. In de zomer van 2011 heb ik www.optieacademy.nl opgericht.
